Waiwera
Hot Pools Resort
5 minutes drive north of Orewa is this amazing facility attracting visitors

Wenderholm
Regional Park
Just North of the Waiwera bridge is the entrance to this most beautiful
of the regional reserves. Established as a public park of 134 HA in 1965.
The park has historical links dating back to the pre european 1780 period.
Sited
adjacent to the Puhoi River mouth, this reserve features an incredible
peninsula of breathtaking beauty, mature trees set in park like surroundings
and safe swimming areas. Historical Couldrey House and museum open to
the public is central to several well marked trails through coastal and
forest areas that abound with native bird life and fabulous views. Your
visit to the park will leave you with pleasant memories for a lifetime.
Puhoi
Historic Village
Settled in 1863 by Bohemian immigrants. A fascinating area with its unique
historic pub and museum. Enjoy lunch at the 100 year old Puhoi Cottage
or sample delicious specialty cheeses made by the locally renown cheese
factory and cafe. Explore with a leisurely paddle in a hire canoe down
the picturesque Puhoi River. This tranquil river winds its way through
majestic hills to the sea at Wenderholm Regional Park. A return transport
service is available.
